Removing the Gear Knob from a VW Golf 5

Removing the damaged gear knob from a VW Golf 5. Remove the knob and replace it with a new one. Take off the leather gaiter frame located above the centre tunnel, lift it, and unclip the metal clip that secures the knob. Take the new knob and slide it onto the rod on the centre tunnel along with the gaiter until it is secured on the rod (tighten the metal clip). Lower the new leather gaiter and secure the clips in the centre tunnel. Test the movement of the rod on the centre tunnel to ensure the correct installation of the knob and gaiter.
