Here’s how to remove the armrest located above the centre tunnel of a Volkswagen Golf Mk7. Move the leather armrest forward, then remove the air vent grilles; use a socket to unscrew the securing bolts. Next, pry at the edge of the centre console: detach the armrest from the car's centre tunnel. Unscrew with a screwdriver the glove compartment located on the tunnel and remove the metal plate. Fit the new piece onto the tunnel and proceed with the rest of the assembly in reverse order.
