Operation: Complete removal of the central tunnel

Open the drawer and remove the ashtray. Using a plastic tool to avoid damaging the bodywork, pry the base of the climate control controls and remove the panel, paying attention to the electrical connections which must be removed carefully. Unscrew the ashtray compartment screws and remove the complete console which must be gently raised to allow disconnection of the connectors on the back of the console. Still using a plastic tool, pry the base of the tunnel above the gearbox to release the plastic catches of the cover and remove it by unclipping the connectors. Remove the screws on the bottom of the tunnel and the glove box then disconnect all the connectors. The entire tunnel can now be removed.
