Instructions for Removing the Armrest

Model: Mercedes Classe M W163 - Years 1997-2005
Part: Center console tunnel

To remove the centre tunnel, start by detaching the trim at the base of the gear lever, unscrew the two screws at the bottom of the glove compartment under the armrest, and remove the compartment itself. Then unscrew the fixing screws of the armrest support hinge and slide it off. Disconnect the plugs to free the wiring, unclip the control console on the centre tunnel by levering along the edges, and remove it from the plugs to complete the disassembly. Finally, unscrew all the screws underneath and finish removing the centre tunnel.
