If you notice abnormal coolant consumption with a rise in temperature up to boiling, it is very likely that the cylinder head gasket is damaged: in this case, the gasket can no longer ensure a seal, and the cooling passages may come into contact with the lubrication passages, resulting in water infiltrating the lubrication circuit (pulling the oil level dipstick may reveal droplets of water in suspension).
To replace the cylinder head gasket, you need to remove the timing components, the manifold, and the rocker cover; extract the camshafts and complete the removal of the cylinder head. Clean the gasket seat thoroughly and have it machined to ensure the perfect flatness of the surface before proceeding to install the new gasket, taking care to follow the correct tightening sequence of the cylinder head bolts. Reassemble everything, start the engine, bring it to temperature, ensuring the fan activates, that the temperature remains stable, and that the coolant does not boil.
