How to Reset the Service Light on the Volvo V40?

After changing the engine oil and filter on this vehicle, you need to reset the service indicator that has illuminated on the dashboard. Follow the simple instructions below. First, access the driver's seat, insert the key into the ignition slot, and turn on the ignition. On the left multifunction lever, there is an 'OK' button; press and hold this button while simultaneously pressing the Start button of the vehicle. Wait a few seconds until the service indicator starts to flash, after which the reset will automatically occur, updating the timing and mileage for the next service.
