To reset the Service light on the Volvo V40, turn on the instrument cluster by turning the key in the lock and then press and hold the OK button located at the end of the lever on the left of the steering wheel. This will cause the red light to start flashing, and when it disappears completely, you can switch off the instrument cluster.
