How to replace the seatbelt on the Volvo S40?

To replace the seatbelt on the Volvo S40, use a tool to pry off the trim covering the pillar between the driver's door and the rear passenger door. Once the covers are removed, loosen the bolt securing the tensioner at the top of the pillar, then proceed to loosen the bolts securing the retractor at the bottom of the pillar. This will allow you to completely remove the old seatbelt from its housing. At this point, insert the new replacement part, ensuring everything functions correctly.
