How to Replace the Timing Belt on a Volvo S40

To replace the timing belt on a Volvo S40, open the bonnet to access the components inside the engine bay. On the left side, you will locate the timing belt under the designated cover. Once this is removed, you can identify the underlying belt and loosen the central nut of the tensioner pulley. This will reduce the tension on the belt, allowing you to slide it off the respective pulleys. The new belt can now be fitted, and you can check that everything functions correctly.
