How to Reset the Maintenance Light on a Volvo V50

In this video, you can see how to reset the maintenance light on the Volvo V50: follow the instructions from the video summarised as follows: first, get into the vehicle and close all the doors. Turn the ignition to position 1 (accessory position) without starting the engine. Press and hold the button at the bottom right of the speedometer. Immediately turn the key to position II within four seconds (thus fully turning on the instrument panel), while holding the button. Wait for a yellow light to illuminate, after which you can release the button. A beep will indicate that the reset has been successful.
