How to Replace the Battery in a Volvo V50 Remote Key?

In this short video tutorial, you will see how to change the battery in the remote key of a Volvo V50 produced from 2008. First, pull the release tab located on the back of the remote and extract the physical key. Now, using a small flathead screwdriver, gently pry and lift the cover of the remote to open it. Once the remote is open, you will see the battery; remove it and insert a new one. Finally, press the two halves together to close the remote. The required battery for this model is the CR2450 3V.
