Today we will explain how to replace the transmission belt of the Yamaha X Max 400. We start by removing the air filter box; remove the plastic cover of the main pin to unscrew it. Use a hex key to unscrew the pin and nut. Lift and lock the air filter box upwards while unscrewing the scooter's side plastics with a cross screwdriver to access the belt. Remove the casing. With a tire gun and a 24mm socket, unscrew the top nut and with a 19mm socket, unscrew the bottom nut. With a 13T key, unscrew the central pin and remove the belt cover casing. Remove the clutch assembly and remove the belt. Insert the new belt taking into account the directional arrows inside the clutch and mount the casing. Mount the plastic covers and position the air filter box.
