How do you replace the front brake pads of the Yamaha V-Star 1100?

The replacement of the front brake pads on the Yamaha V-Star 1100 is done by loosening the screws that secure the brake caliper to its housing: once these screws have been loosened, it will be possible to completely detach the brake caliper from the corresponding disc. In this way, the pads inside the caliper can be removed so that they can be replaced with a new spare part; once the new pads have been inserted, it will be possible to reposition the caliper on the corresponding disc, securing it with the appropriate screws and verifying that everything is functioning correctly.

Let's find out below the instructions on how to carry out the routine maintenance service, replacing the engine oil and the oil filter, of the Derbi Fds. First of all, we put the stand on our bike and start to drain the engine oil, unscrewing the vent bolt that we find under the engine; let the old oil drain in a container for about ten minutes. At this point we unscrew the filler cap and carry out the new top up; we use the oil with the right characteristics, finally checking the oil level using the dipstick!
