What to do when the message "Start & stop not available, have the engine checked" appears on the dashboard? In this case, the message appears on an Alfa Romeo Giulietta, but it could appear in the same way on a Fiat, a Jeep, or a Lancia. Let's see through the EOBD port - located on the lower left side of the dashboard - what problem has occurred, by connecting an OBDII reader, then turn on the instrument panel, and on an Android device we read the "Alfa OBD" app and connect it via bluetooth to the OBD, select the OBD device and then the make and model of the car and then select "engine function". Select the control unit and make the connection: go to the bottom right where it says "check" and read all the errors; locate what the problem is and clear the error.
