Model: Aprilia Rsv 1000
Part: Clutch

To replace the clutch hydraulic oil (but the procedure is also good for the brake hydraulic oil) in the Aprilia Rsv 1000, the operations to be carried out are quite simple. First, we must unscrew the oil tank cap (in the video images, we can see how, in the illustrated case Dot4, the oil is clearly exhausted due to the thermal stress it has suffered and the time it has). Now, let's locate the clutch actuator and find the clutch bleed screw itself. We remove the dirt guard, rubber, of the same and connect a rubber hose to avoid soiling. We start pumping with the clutch lever and, after 2-3 times, we keep it pressed. We unscrew the bleed dowel and continue pumping to eliminate the oil. We are careful not to empty the entire system as, subsequently, we should also bleed the air system. During this operation, we continue to pour new oil into the tank and pump with the clutch lever. This is carried out until the oil, which comes out of the drain, is clear, of a different color from the exhausted one. At the end of the operation, we fill the system with oil and continue, for a while, with the purging (at least 2-3 times) to avoid any presence of air. Once finished, we reassemble everything and that's it.

How do you replace the clutch of the Sherco SE 250?

The clutch replacement on the Sherco SE 250 can be carried out by loosening the screws that secure the cover panel located on the right side of the motorcycle: once the panel has been removed, the underlying screws that secure the clutch discs can be unscrewed in order to insert the new ones. These can now be properly secured in their place and the panel can then be covered: after installation, it will be possible to verify that everything works correctly even after the replacement of the discs.
