In this video, you can see how to change the battery on an Audi A3 8P: open the bonnet; the battery is located on the right side of the engine block and to remove it, you will need to take off the securing plate using a 13mm socket. Then, remove the plastic cover that protects the battery.

Remember to disconnect the battery always from the negative terminal, which is the black one, and keep it well away from the battery to avoid accidental reconnection; remove the plastic cover from the battery and then disconnect the positive terminal.

Now, you can grab the handles and take out the battery.

Sand the terminals with sandpaper to remove any oxidation, then coat the contacts of the new battery with copper grease, after which you can place it back in position, covering it with its side protection. Connect the positive terminal first, then the negative, and finally replace the securing plate and the plastic cover.
