We open the fuel flap, unscrew the filler cap and with a screwdriver unscrew the pins on the internal plastic of the fuel cap. After unscrewing the pins, grab the door frame with both hands and pull it towards us. Let's go and pry around the lock and pull it off. The door opening power cable will also come off together with the lock. We replace the damaged motor with a new one of the same size. We reassemble the fuel flap with attached screws.

How do I unlock the automatic transmission of the BMW 3 Series?
