How to open the trunk hatch locked in the Audi A2?

In the Audi A2, it may happen that the trunk hatch gets stuck, for example due to a problem with the control button or the lock actuator. In these cases, we can still perform an emergency opening by following the simple procedure shown in this tutorial. First, we open the right rear door, then we lower the backrest of the seat by operating the lever. Next, we locate the small panel under the rear window, remove it with the key, and pull the cord that has just been released towards us. The trunk hatch will then be free to be opened.
