This article will guide you step by step through the procedure to replace the key battery of an Audi A6. For this operation, you will need a small flathead screwdriver. First, open the key as if you were inserting it into the ignition.

Then, using the screwdriver, apply pressure by inserting it into the center to pry up the cover located beneath the Audi logo. Lift the cover, and once lifted, remove it using the screwdriver.

After removal, you will have access to the battery located on the cover. Use the screwdriver to remove it. Now, replace the battery and close the key by pressing down with your hands to secure the cover in place.
