What to do if we have an ashtray on our Audi A3 8P that we do not use? We could transform it into a storage compartment. Let's follow the instructions of the YouTuber, who will guide us in this process: he bought the original Audi one, Ref: 8P0863301A 4PK, but it is also possible to buy compatible parts, for example with the code B0CZ8QNKGV on Amazon, priced at 19.99 euros, with free delivery for Prime customers, we will find various configurations of the storage compartment, in order to adapt it to our needs.

We remove the base of the ashtray, under which we will find two screws to remove, and then lift the gear lever gaiter to create space. We pry from the back and remove the ashtray, after disconnecting the bulb connector inside it. We then remove the fixing base, and replace it with the storage compartment base.

Pull down the gear lever gaiter, and the operation is already complete: very easy.
