What is the purpose and where is the crash sensor located on the Audi A1?

In this video we can see the position of the crash sensor on the Audi A1, which is located right in front of the engine compartment. If we want to see it, we actually have to move to the side of the engine itself, and we see it right above the fan. Its function is to activate passive safety measures, such as airbags, automatic seat belts, and other protective devices, in case of a collision. In fact, the crash sensor is designed to detect sudden decelerations or accelerations, typical of an accident. Using a combination of accelerometers and gyroscopes, the sensor measures the intensity and direction of the impact.
