When removing the airbag from a vehicle, the first step is to disconnect the battery to prevent the system from activating in case of issues during removal. To remove the airbag system from a 2006 Audi A1, you need to: - disconnect the battery; - turn off the instrument panel; - position the steering wheel vertically; - insert a star screwdriver into the steering wheel hole; - push the contents outward; - extract the airbag; - disconnect the connector to remove it completely; Once the operation is complete, proceed to install a new airbag.
