Let's talk about the airbag of the Audi A1, more specifically the one installed inside the steering wheel. If there is a specific technical need, it can be deactivated and even removed, but keeping in mind that it is mostly for inspections, technical tests, etc., given the importance of always having it active.

The video tutorial available here explains how to do it: You get a thin and pointed object, position the steering wheel to locate the two release holes of the aforementioned airbag, insert the aforementioned object into the holes and release the airbag.

At this point, it is removed from the steering wheel and the electrical power connector is disconnected.
