How to restore the service light on the 2008 Audi A4

This article will illustrate the procedure for resetting the service light on a 2008 Audi A4 as the ECU does not detect the service and the light remains on. No tools are needed for this operation. As in other Audi models from the same construction period, to reset the light you must first insert the key, then press and hold the button with the symbol of the English key on the right side of the dashboard after inserting the key, while holding it down start the instrument panel without starting the engine. When the service light appears on the dashboard, release the button with the English key and press the 0.0 button once. Now the light will be reset. We recommend restarting the instrument panel to verify that the procedure has been carried out correctly.
