How to replace the engine oil filter on an Audi A3? Follow this guide to proceed with the filter replacement and refill the new fluid: open the car's door and pull up the engine compartment release lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard, then lift the bonnet and secure it. Using a socket spanner, loosen the large bolt securing the sump, which contains the oil (located at the bottom of the car); allow the fluid to drain into a disposal container.

Remove the air intake kit and extract the worn oil filter, then position a new one. Finally, refill the new fluid and close the bonnet.
