Open the hood and remove the protective covers of the timing belt located at the front of the engine; remove the timing belt tensioner to release the belt from the pulleys.
Then, unscrew the mounting bolts of the water pump, pull it out from its seat, and carefully clean the mating surfaces to ensure a perfect seal for the gasket. Next, install the new pump with the corresponding gasket (it is also suggested to apply gasket sealant on the gasket) and tighten the mounting bolts. Reinstall the timing belt on the respective pulleys and the tensioner, paying attention to the timing marks. It is recommended to perform this repair only if you have good mechanical knowledge, as replacing the water pump requires removing the timing belt, and a simple mistake could severely damage the engine.

How to Remove the Engine Oil Filter of the Peugeot 308
How do you remove the engine oil filter of the Peugeot 308? Follow this guide to proceed with the replacement. Open the car door and pull up the engine compartment release lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard, then lift the front bonnet and secure it. Using a socket wrench, unscrew the large securing bolt of the container cap where the oil filter is located (engine compartment under the ventilation pipe). Drain the used oil from under the engine sump. Remove the worn oil filter and position a new one, ensuring it adheres well around the walls of the housing. Finally, refit the ventilation pipe and top up the engine oil. Close the front bonnet last. by ScegliAuto More videos
