Fuel Pump Replacement on Audi A6

How do you remove the fuel pump on an Audi A6? First, remove the access covers for the pump: either the rear seat cushions or the cover panel. Once any cover is removed, unscrew the screws from the fuel tank cap. Cover the surface with absorbent paper to soak up any fluid leaks. Disconnect the power connectors and the fluid circulation hoses, then unscrew the plastic nut. Finally, extract the fuel pump from its housing along with any attached parts. Replace the fuel pump with a new one of the same type.
