How do you replace the fuel pump on an Audi A6? First, disconnect the battery cables. Then, remove the rear seat cushions from the car. Use a wrench to loosen the retaining bolts of the metal cover and remove it from its place. Use absorbent paper to soak up any fluid leaks. Use a chisel to loosen the large retaining bolt of the fuel pump, disconnect the power connectors and the fuel return lines. Extract the fuel pump from the tank along with any attached parts. Finally, install a new unit.
