Fuel Pump Replacement on Audi A6

Model: Audi A6 MK 2, C5 - Years 1997-2004

Turn off the car and disconnect the battery by removing the terminals. On this model, the fuel pump is located under the rear seats. Remove the seats by detaching them from their lower mounts and take them out of the cabin. Remove the top cover of the pump by unscrewing the three small screws. Disconnect the large connector using a flathead screwdriver, then remove the metal clamps. Disconnect the fuel lines and mark how far they were inserted. Remove the retaining ring by turning it counterclockwise. At this point, you can lift the lower cover and create the necessary space to unscrew the pump and install the new one.
