How do you reset the Audi MMI module?

The MMI Audi module allows you to electronically manage a series of electronic devices in the car, such as the navigator, radio, audio system, etc. If it were to malfunction, meaning a temporary failure unrelated to hardware malfunctions, you can try a DIY reset by following this procedure: with the instrument panel on, press and hold the Menu button and the knob in the upper right corner, wait fifteen seconds and you will see the screen go black, then turn off and restart.
