Let's see how to remove the steering rack boot on an Audi A4. Position your car on a lift: raise it to a comfortable height, remove the wheel bolts (with a socket wrench or air drill), and take the wheel off. Next, start removing the bolts under the wheel hub with a socket wrench, then pull the arm around the joint with your hands.

Install the new boot (after removing the old one) on the CV joint, then begin reassembling all the parts in reverse order.

Test the new part after installation.
