Disassembly of the Audi A3 ignition cylinder

Model: Audi A3 8P, MK 2 - Years 2003-2013

In this video we are going to see how to replace the ignition cylinder of the Audi A3. First we are going to remove the side plastic cover where the fuses are housed: we are going to remove the 1 Ampere blue one. Let's also disconnect the battery poles. Now let's connect the cables that pass to the steering wheel and remove its central part by pulling it towards you (of the airbag). We disconnect the connector by removing it permanently. Remove the two screws to remove the ignition plastic cover: disconnect the various control units and go with a drill to pierce the seal of the block to go and remove it.
