How to Remove the Door Panel on Audi A3

Removing the door panel on an Audi A3 is a fairly simple task that does not require special tools, just a few screwdrivers and preferably a plastic trim removal kit suitable for this purpose. First, remove the speaker cover by prying at the edges, and similarly, remove the plastic cover around the window switch. Under the window switch cover, there will be a screw that needs to be removed, and you will also need to remove another screw easily visible at the centre of the panel just below the armrest and a final screw located at the bottom of the panel. Once these three screws are removed, the panel will be held to the car only by plastic clips along the entire perimeter of the panel; these can be released by prying at the joint line between the panel and the door metal. After releasing all the plastic clips, simply lift the panel upwards to detach it from the window runner. At this point, disconnect the power connector and the opening handle cable to completely remove the panel from the car.
