Replacing the Cabin Air Filter in Audi A6 Avant

To replace the cabin air filter in the Audi A6, start by placing the vehicle on a lift or on a flat surface to work safely. After locating the filter housing (which is inside the cabin, behind the glove compartment), use the appropriate wrench to remove the five bolts found on the horizontal panel under the glove compartment, and then those near the top edge of the glove compartment. Once done, remove the entire glove compartment assembly (after disconnecting the electrical connector). The cabin air filter housing is located to the right of the space created by removing the filter itself. Remove the cover and then the old filter. Insert the new cabin air filter and reassemble everything!
