How to Open the Gas Cap on an Audi TT

Model: Audi Tt 8N, MK 1 - Years 1998-2006

Unlock the fuel door on the Audi TT if you cannot open it. First, open and lift the trunk using the appropriate key or button. Remove the plastic cover on the side of the trunk, then locate the fuel door release motor. Grab the plastic lever of the motor (cable) with your hands and pull it to the right to unlock the latch; pull it the other way to lock it (if present on the model). Unlock the fuel door. After unlocking the door, remove the damaged motor/fuel door and replace it with a new one of the same type.
