How to Remove the Coolant Temperature Sensor from an Audi A6

Before you can start, open the hood of your Audi A6. Begin by unclipping and removing the upper engine covers. Next, move the upper wiring harnesses, and then remove the oil dipstick. At this point, disassemble the air filter housing and its related hoses. This will give you access to the temperature sensor. Proceed to disconnect the connector. Once this step is complete, remove the clip that secures the coolant temperature sensor, then take out the sensor itself, and you will have finished the disassembly.
