Hood Replacement on Audi A6

Model: Audi A6 MK 2, C5 - Years 1997-2004

With the engine off and the parking brake engaged, lift the hood of the car. As shown in the video, near the windshield, there are two plastic clips that you can remove by disconnecting their connectors and taking them out completely. Now remove the wires from the connectors by sliding them out sideways through the designated hole in the hood and also remove the clip next to the hole. On both sides, the hood is secured with brackets and 13 mm bolts: unscrew them. Then detach the hydraulic support piston using a sharp tool. During the procedure, be careful of the hood potentially falling. Reverse the steps for reinstallation.
