Repairing Automatic Handbrake

Model: Audi A6 MK 3, C6 - Years 2004-2012

This video shows you how to repair an automatic handbrake. First, identify the error using the examiner and try to reset any faults. If the errors do not clear, check for any blown fuses. Once these checks are done and the error is still present, examine the integrity of the handbrake cable. In this case, the cable is broken at the rear, just behind the wheel. Proceed to replace the cable by removing the wheel and the upper panel. Finally, from the trunk, locate the cables to be replaced and pull them out towards the wheel well to work more easily, as you will need to perform soldering for the various connections.
