In this tutorial, you will see how to unlock the automatic transmission in an Audi A6, a very simple operation that can be done in an emergency situation, such as when the battery is dead. First, get inside the vehicle, then remove the ashtray compartment located in front of the gear shift. Using a flathead screwdriver, pry off the small panel on the rear wall. Once this is done, locate the button behind the panel you just removed, press it down, and simultaneously move the gear shift to the N position.
