Engine Coolant Thermostat Replacement

A stuck coolant thermostat can cause serious engine damage, so immediate action is necessary. Open the hood and remove the engine cover. Remove the two hose clamps on the air duct to access the adjustment block. Below is the thermostat that needs to be removed using a wrench. Disconnect the various water hoses to access the thermostat and proceed with its removal. The thermostat is located on an aluminum elbow that needs to be removed. Install the new thermostat and reassemble the various components that were previously removed. Reconnect the air duct and refill the coolant.
