How to replace the thermostat of the Audi A4

Model: Audi A4 B8 - Years 2007-2016

To replace the thermostat of the Audi A4, we need to open the front hood and unscrew the screw that locks the air tube clamp using a Phillips screwdriver. After removing the clamp, we remove the air tube. Disconnect the water tank by unscrewing the locking screws and disconnecting the cables and connector. Unscrew the flexible coolant tube and remove it by pulling it outwards. Disconnect the alternator connector and remove the multi-socket mounting bracket, release the coolant tube clamp to unscrew the thermostat locking screw. Remove the housing flexible tube and remove the tube mounting bolt. Pull the coolant tube and unscrew the fixing bolts to remove the thermostat housing cover. After removing the thermostat, lubricate the insertion seat and use steel wool to clean the interior. Insert the new thermostat and tighten the housing cover fixing bolts, insert the coolant tube and screw the bolts. Connect the alternator connector and screw the multi-socket mounting bracket on the coolant tube. Connect the tank connector and insert the tank itself into its seat, secure it with screws and mount the air tube.
