In this tutorial, you will learn how to replace the thermostat in the Audi A4, a simple and quick operation. First, ensure that the engine is completely cold, then open the hood, disconnect the lower radiator hose, and let all the coolant in the system drain out. Next, disconnect the hose in front of the fuel filter, remove the two bolts securing the thermostat housing, and take out the thermostat.

At this point, simply insert the replacement part, reassemble everything, and add new coolant.
