How to replace the main thermostat of an Audi A4

In this video we can see how to replace the main thermostat of an Audi A4 B7; but the system is also valid for an A3 or for a Volkswagen engine with a displacement of 2.0. This component is located under the engine block, as we can see from the video; we will need a ratchet wrench with an extension to reach the 10 bolts, and we will have to be very careful that they do not fall into the engine. If we do not feel comfortable doing this operation, it is better to remove the battery (keeping the radio codes at hand) in order to have more space to do the work. We can find the thermostat interior, without having to change the whole component, for example on auto-doc, with the code 4059191224050 at the price of 5.61 euros + 9.90 euros for shipping costs.
