How to Replace the Thermostat on an Audi A4

Before starting, open the hood of your Audi A4. Begin by unclipping and removing the upper engine cover, then disassemble and remove the air filter housing by disconnecting the various hoses and electrical connectors, and unscrewing the screws and bolts. Next, disconnect the electrical connector attached to the thermostat, then unclip and remove the clip that secures the thermostat to its housing. At this point, extract and remove the thermostat, and you will have completed the disassembly.
