To remove the diesel particulate filter from the Audi A4, lift the car to gain easier access to the underside. First, remove the right front wheel and loosen the bolts to take out the driveshaft for more space. Then, the driveshaft can be extracted from the right wheel well, allowing you to loosen the crossmember located under the diesel particulate filter. You can then remove the filter after cutting the pipe it is connected to with a reciprocating saw. Once the pipe is cut, you can remove the filter and replace it with a new replacement part.
