To replace the spark plugs on an Audi A4, open the hood to remove the cover from the top of the engine compartment. Once this is removed, unscrew the bolts securing the connectors attached to the ignition coils.

You can now pull the coils from their slots, also removing the underlying spark plugs. After the spark plugs are removed, install the new ones, then reinstall the coils and connect them to the connectors; finally, replace the plastic engine cover.
