First, open the rear door and start by removing the door panel, unscrewing the screws and prying at the edges; then unscrew the side screw of the lock using a Torx screwdriver, and disconnect the metal cable and the electrical connector.

Finally, replace it with the new one, then reassemble the door panel by applying the reverse procedure!
