The operation that the following guide shows us is a somewhat complicated operation because it involves disassembling the timing chain and restarting the engine. This is why we often rely on mechanics to do it but it is not impossible to do it alone. It is advisable to use latex gloves and work. Proceed to loosen the bolts that hold the castle in place and extract it. We then move on to remove the shafts and the head clamping screws. Only at this point it is possible to move on to remove the head. With an extractor key, the valve springs are compressed, blocking the valves underneath, so that the crescent-shaped pins that lock the plates can be removed and the valve and spring can be extracted. The worn rubber pads are thus extracted and replaced with new ones.

Let's see in this short and simple guide the instructions that will allow us to open the bonnet of the Volkswagen Polo. First of all we open the front door, on the driver's side, and start pulling the opening lever of the engine hood, in order to open the lock; then let's move to the front of the vehicle and unhook the tab that we find on the central part, above the manufacturer's emblem, as shown in the video. At this point we block the bonnet with the lateral rod; then we accompany the bonnet down to close it again!
