How to Replace the Remote Battery of an Audi A4

This guide shows you how to replace the battery in the key of an Audi A4. On either side of the Audi logo, near the keyring loop, there are two buttons; press them simultaneously to pull out the piece that will come out of the remote along with the key. At this point, press the same buttons again; doing this will allow you to extract the battery compartment as well. You will then need to replace the CR2032 battery with a new one, inserting it with the negative terminal facing up and the positive terminal toward the plastic support. After this, reinsert the battery compartment; at minute 1:25, you can see the metal contact inside the remote that the battery must touch. Once the battery compartment is inserted, press the side buttons again to secure it properly. Finally, reinsert the key into its slot, sliding it until the locking mechanism clicks.
