How to Replace the Key Battery on an Audi A1

Model: Audi A1 8X, MK 1 - Years 2010-2018

Start by pressing the silver button on the top of the key for your Audi A1. This will allow you to open the physical key. Once done, insert the tip of a thin but sturdy tool into the lower slot and pry it open. Once you have pried it open, you will be able to remove the back cover and access the flat battery. Proceed to extract the battery. After completing this step, you can remove the battery, finishing the disassembly. To install the new battery, simply follow these instructions in reverse, and the replacement will be complete.
